Following the trivia, attendees will have the opportunity to network over refreshments and participate in a podcast recording session. This session will serve as a platform for sharing perspectives, experiences, and actionable ideas to drive progress toward a more inclusive and equitable industry. This event is open to professionals, students, and advocates for diversity who are committed to accelerating meaningful change. Laura co-founded You Don’t Look Like an Engineer, a podcast dedicated to amplifying diverse voices and promoting equity. Beyond the podcast, Laura volunteers as the marketing manager for the Australian Latin American Young Professionals, blending creativity with community impact.

Known for building authentic connections, Laura thrives on creating welcoming, inclusive workplaces filled with inspiration.

Sohan Roopra is a water resources engineer with six years of experience. Sohan is passionate about breaking barriers and making STEM more inclusive. As co-founder of You Don’t Look Like an Engineer, Sohan shares raw and inspiring stories that challenge stereotypes and highlight the brilliance of underrepresented voices.
