Dr Jurij Karlovšek is a Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering at the University of Queensland, specialising in digitalisation and tunnelling engineering. With over 15 years of experience spanning both industry and academia, Jurij has made significant contributions to advancing digital engineering practices in infrastructure projects. As Co-Director of the UQ Sustainable Infrastructure Research Hub, he leads research in digital tools, sustainability, and workforce transitions. He integrates real-world insights into his teaching, preparing future engineers through innovative methods and strong industry collaborations. Jurij’s expertise bridges academia and industry, driving the digitalisation of infrastructure design and construction.
