The ATS Tunnel Design Guideline Working Group is pleased to announce the Second Edition of the ATS Tunnel Design Guideline is currently being peer reviewed.
About the guideline
The ATS Tunnel Design Guideline was developed to provide a reference for elementary tunnel design practice in Australia. It is intended to provide an introduction to and guidance notes on each of the topics covered. It contains references to publications which contain the details of the topics covered, as well as considerations for the choices that tunnel engineers usually make.
However, the guideline is not intended to be a design standard or specification. The ATS recommend readers to look at the references, and carefully consider the choices that need to be made. There will be situations where there will need to be modification to the concepts presented.
To access the first edition
The guideline is available as a PDF publication with 162 pages.
The guide is free for ATS members to download under the Members section > Technical papers
