On Monday December 4th the ITA celebrate the incredible engineering marvels that lie beneath our feet, connecting communities, improving transportation, and enabling access to resources. As we mark World Tunnel Day 2023 #WorldTunnelDay, let’s reflect on the profound impact tunnels have on our daily lives.
We’re calling on all tunnel enthusiasts (young, middle aged and old) to light up the underground on social media. We specifically invite you to share your accomplishments from the past year, aiming to engage more young professionals in our dynamic field. Whether it’s a project visit, a milestone achieved, or an engaging quiz night, we want to see it all! Your experiences are not only valuable to us but also serve as a wellspring of inspiration for our entire community.
To ensure your contributions reach a wide audience, we suggest one of two approaches:
1. If your member nation has a social media account, please share your stories, photos, and videos directly there using the hashtags #WorldTunnelDay and #BoringDay. We’ll further amplify your message.
Our LinkedIn and Instagram are \itaym35 and @itaym respectively.
2. If you don’t have social media accounts, kindly reply to this email with your content, and we will share them on our platforms. You can also lend support by sharing through your private accounts.
We are counting on your support to make this year’s celebration the most memorable yet, turning #WorldTunnelDay into the most exciting #BoringDay!
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the dedication and expertise of engineers, construction workers, and innovators who make these underground wonders possible. Happy World Tunnel Day to all those who work tirelessly to create the pathways that connect us and drive progress.
