The deadline for nominating for the David Sugden Award has been extended until 30 September.
With the award recognising young engineers for their knowledge and contribution to the industry, nominations are welcomed from those aged 35 or under.
2021 Terms and Conditions of Entry are as follows:
- The competition is open to all ATS members and university students 35 years of age or younger (as at 31 August 2021).
- The task is to write a technical paper (2000 – 5000 words) on any subject relating to tunnelling and underground construction.
- The best paper is to be judged by the Australian Tunnelling Society Executive Committee.
- Only papers with individual authorship will be considered.
- Only one nominated paper is allowed per author in a given area of tunnelling and underground construction.
